This post is a test post for my newly installed Twitter Updater for Wordpress.

In this way when I write a new blog post here it automatically updates my Twitter account and all of my Twitter followers can keep an eye out on my blog when I decide to write more in depth posts on topics and information.

In this manner I can integrate my blog and Twitter more seamlessly to use both Social Media tools to their fullest potential.

Yahoo Open Strategy Announcement

April 25th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Emerging Biz

Just finished viewing the keynote from Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco delivered by Yahoo’s CTO Ari Balogh about Yahoo’s new strategy to “open up” its platofrm so developers can tap into their large demographic.

To the left is an example of how this platofrm will be divided and opened up. According to the keynote the 3 main startegic goals of Yahoo opening itself up are:

1. Rewiring Yahoo

2. Open Yahoo! to developers like never before.

3. Making Yahoo! more social.

It is interesting to see Yahoo! jump on the open developer platform bandwagon like MySpace, Facebook and others. Curious to jump on board and see what can be done. This opening up of Yahoo (together with the integration to Google’s Open Social) will make this one exciting initiative for this year and beyond. Curious to hear your thoughts!
