ROYOUTH progress…

March 1st, 2006 Posted in Web 2.0

I just got off the phone with 1&1’s attorney and he forwarded me the contact of who filed the copyright grievance. It was in regards to a few threads that we had on royouth that someone posted content from another website.

I never got an email from this person about this grievance otherwise it would have been immediately taken off. But now we must wait for him to authorize 1&1 to lift the domain lock.

I have contacted the person and waiting for his response. Pray there is a quick resolve.

yay! things are moving forward. im still in prayer. by the way….is there any way for us to know what exactly was posted that should have been? i guess im just worried that i might have been the troublemaker….cause i guess i dont really know how to check if something is copyrighted or not unless it is like boldly shown that it is.

anyway just curious. if you can contact me cosmin about this, i would appreciate it. it would ease my mind. im on the aussie royouth if you feel its easier to send me a pm thru there. thanks.

    here’s a thought…

perhaps it would be wise to delete everything from royouth and start over again, in a totally new dynamic atmosphere and interaction. i bet you there are hundreds of copyrighted material on Royouth. i can easily name you a few.

thanks meesh for the comments. as for nadia… no reason to ‘delete everything’ there are to many members that have contributed in their own way to the community.

what we could start over is the level of participation from everyone that wants to see the site ‘change’.
